Kerry MEP has warned Russia cannot be a trusted partner for the EU

Ireland South MEP Seán Kelly has warned Russia cannot be a trusted partner for the EU.

During a speech in the European Parliament this morning the Ireland South MEP said he agreed with President Ursula Von der Leyen.

They believe Europe needs to diversify its gas sources in order to reduce their dependence on Russia.

Mr Kelly says our future lies in home-grown renewable energy and LNG can provide an avenue away from Russia.
