Buildings material company Roadstone says it’s appealing the result of a court case taken by Kerry Council against it.
The council had issued four summonses against the company’s operation in Clasheen, Killarney after receiving complaints about odours.
Earlier this month, Killarney District Court found in favour of Kerry County Council in its case against Roadstone.
The construction and building materials supplier says it’s committed to being a good neighbour and to operate in compliance with all relevant planning, environmental, health and safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Roadstone says it’s appealing the judgment.
At Monday’s full council meeting, director of services James Nolan informed councillors.
He said as Roadstone is appealing, the matter will now go to the circuit court; no date has been set for this.
