There’s a renewed focus on road safety in Kerry this week.
Irish Road Safety Week is taking place, with events being held in Kerry.
The themes for this year’s event in Kerry are education and engagement, while tyre safety, pedestrian safety, speed awareness, and advice for road users are all being promoted.

Kerry County Council’s Road Safety Officer, Declan Keogh, says it is always a very sad situation when someone loses their life on the road.
