The road is closed just outside Castleisland following a multi vehicle collision.
The incident occurred on the N21 Tralee to Castleisland road just after the roundabout into Castleisland town.
Emergency vehicles are currently at the scene and the road is expected to be closed for several hours.

In addition to this, black ice has been reported on several routes around the county, including the greater Castleisland area .
Black ice has also been reported on the R585 Cork to Kenmare road, as well as Barraduff Bridge outside Killarney.
Road users in these areas are asked to proceed with caution.
