There’s a risk of localised flooding and sea swells in Kerry over the coming days as Met Éireann has issued a high tide advisory for Atlantic coastal counties.
The advisory is valid from midday today until midday Wednesday.
These sea swells and large waves will coincide with spring tides, and Kerry County Council is reminding the public of the risks associated.
It's advising the public to stay high and dry as rogue waves present a risk to life.
The council says beach goers and those engaging in water sports should pay attention to safety messages and lifeguard flags.
It says coastal communities should expect wave over topping and take precautions.
