Rising prices push more middle-income Kerry families to seek help from Saint Vincent de Paul

There has been a rise in the number of middle-income families in Kerry seeking help from the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

This is in line with national trends as the cost-of-living crisis pushes electricity and heating bills, as well as grocery prices, up.

Treasurer of St Vincent de Paul Kerry, Paddy Kevane says the pressure is on to support as many people as possible:

Paddy Kevane also works with Tralee Meals on Wheels.

The organisation has launched its Meals on Wheels & Community Laundry Service in Killarney.

They report having delivered almost 20,500 (20,499) dinners across Tralee and Killarney so far this year.

Mr Kevane says Meals on Wheels will provide Christmas dinners in both Tralee and Killarney:
