Retailers are striving to make Tralee a destination where you can really enjoy your shopping experience this Christmas.
That's according to the president of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Sandra Rusk, who was marking the traditional start of the Christmas shopping season - the eighth of December.
Businesses in the town are encouraging people to support local while soaking up the atmosphere.

They want people not to rush, but rather to slow down and savour the town's unique shops, cafés and restaurants.
