It's reported that 17 water supplies throughout Ireland, including in Kerry, are under stress because of the dry weather.
The Irish Independent says in some areas, water is being transported to reservoirs in tanks, or being diverted from elsewhere.

Associate professor at Trinity College Dublin, Dr John Gallagher is the co-author of a report on water conservation in homes.
The report was for the National Water Forum, which advises the Minister for the Environment on water policy.
He says we need to rethink our relationship with water and place more value on it.
