A report on anti-Semitism in Ireland will include details of a Jewish family who said they felt they had to leave Kerry because of their identity.
The Jewish Representative Council of Ireland is compiling the report which will be published in the new year.
The report will include the views of a US Jewish family who had been living in Killorglin for five years.
They told the report’s compilers that they felt driven out as soon as people realised they were Jewish.
The family now live in the US.
Fianna Fáil's Tommy Cahill is a councillor for the Killorglin area.
