Rás Mumhan 2025 began earlier today.
Although roads will remain open to traffic, a large number of cyclists and support vehicles will be travelling on public roads between designated locations at set times.
Drivers should expect delays in these areas and remain particularly alert to the safety of riders, officials, and the general public.
At noon today (Friday, 18 April 2025), the 8.5 km Team Time Trial (Stage 1A) began in Currow village.
The final cyclists are expected to return by 2pm.
At 3:50 pm, riders will roll out for Stage 1B, a 67.6 km route from Castleisland to Knocknagoshel. The stage starts from An Ríocht AC, passes through Black Banks, and is expected to finish in Knocknagoshel by 5:30pm.
Tomorrow (Saturday, 19 April), Stage 2 covers 121.9 km from Killarney to Portmagee.
Riders will depart from St Oliver’s School in Killarney at 9:45am, passing through Lough Acoose, Ballaghisheen Pass, Coom, Cools, and Coomanaspig before finishing in Portmagee at approximately 1:30pm.
Stage 3 takes place on Easter Sunday (20 April), beginning at 10:55am from the Green Glens Arena in Millstreet.
Riders will travel through North Cork and Mushra before a final climb to the Kerryman’s Table, covering a total of 119.6km and concluding around 2pm.
The final day (Monday, 21 April) brings Stage 4: the 113 km Killorglin Circuit.
The race will roll out from KCYMS Hall in Killorglin at 9:55 am.
Organisers advise of likely disruptions in Killorglin, particularly during multiple laps of the 4.2 km Donal McKenna loop.
