Radio Kerry clarifies Kerry woman remanded to prison for contempt of court order has not purged her contempt

Radio Kerry wishes to clarify that a Kerry woman who was remanded to prison for contempt of a court order has not purged her contempt.

Michelle Keane from Knocknagoshel, who contested the general election, had been remanded to Limerick prison yesterday  in relation to an alleged breach of an interlocutory injunction made in July.

Ms Keane is due to appear in court on Friday in relation to the matter.

Prior to her appearance in Listowel court yesterday, Ms Keane said she will defend the matter to the hilt.
