Proposals for a masterplan for the Tralee Sports Complex are expected to be unveiled at the end of the month.
On January 6th last year, part of the roof located over the sports hall, collapsed due to the weight of heavy snowfall.
This happened early in the morning before the centre opened and no one was injured but significant damage was caused.
The facility, which has been running since 1977, is co-owned by the Kerry Education and Training Board and Kerry County Council.
Significant works, including the demolition of the hall, have since taken place.
