The President of the Irish Medical Organisation has called for an immediate end to the fuel blockades.
The IMO is holding its AGM at The Europe Hotel and Resort outside Killarney until tomorrow.
Topics including social media, artificial intelligence, and digitalising health services are being discussed today, with a panel discussion later on addiction.
Speaking at the AGM at The Europe, Irish Medical Organisation President Matthew Sadlier said the blockades will result in slower response times by the emergency services and missed healthcare appointments.
Mr Sadlier said there should always be room for peaceful protest, but not at the expense of patient welfare.
