A plaque will be erected in Tralee to pay homage to the famous concerts of James Last in the county capital.
The German composer performed shows at Austin Stack Park during the Rose of Tralee Festival in 1983 and 1986.
James Last, who passed away in 2015, is reported to have sold an estimated 200 million records worldwide in his lifetime.
Mayor of Tralee Terry O’Brien, who suggested the project, says he is financing the plaque through his own councillor allocations.
