Plans have been unveiled for a major new housing development in Killarney.
Wrightwood Development Ltd has applied for planning permission to build 124 housing units on agricultural lands at Ardshanavooley.
The units are all one, two, or three-beds, across a mix of types including apartments and maisonettes.
The site of around 2.2-hectares is to the north east of Killarney town centre, surrounded by the Burr Ridge residential development to the south, and Deerpark Pitch and Putt Club to the north.
The company says the scheme represents a plan-led, sustainable development that will deliver 124 homes within walking distance of Killarney town centre.
It says the development integrates housing, public and communal open space, sustainable infrastructure, and community facilities.
The company said it will contribute positively to the growth and character of Killarney while complying with the relevant policy framework.
The development will be a mix of apartments, maisonettes, and terrace houses, with a total of 32 one-bed units, 55 two-beds, and 37 three-bed units.
The housing would be served by 143 car parking spaces, as well as 272 bicycle spaces.
The company proposes to hand over 25 units to the council for social and affordable housing under its social housing obligations, should planning be granted for all 124 units.
Kerry County Council is due to decide on the application by 9th March.
