Kerry County Council has granted planning permission for a battery storage facility in Miltown.
Orsted Onshore Ireland Midco Ltd submitted the application, which includes a control building and transformer.
The facility will be built at Ballyoughragh South.
The development will also require security fencing, a separation wall, CCTV and internal access roads.
