Planning permission has been granted for major renovations to the Killarney Oaks Hotel.
The proposed development includes the construction of 35 additional bedrooms at second-floor level, above the existing accommodation.
It also involves the development of a new function room at first-floor level, along with a covered outdoor seating and dining area.

New stairways and a lift are to be installed.
The main entrance to the hotel lobby is to be revised, as well as the entrance to the existing function room lobby.
Kerry County Council also approved elevational changes to the front façade of the building, including the addition of balconies to three existing first-floor bedrooms.
