A planning application for a controversial mast in South Kerry has been withdrawn.
Over 50 objections were lodged with Kerry County Council to oppose the proposed telecommunications mast in Templenoe.
An application was submitted to the council in January with locals organising several public meetings in an effort to halt it since then.

An Tower Ltd. has now withdrawn its proposal for the erection of the mast at the Ring of Kerry Golf Course.
