Kerry County Council has granted planning permission for 83 new homes in Ballyard, Tralee, subject to 26 conditions.
Homeland Projects Limited applied to build 17 semi-detached four-bedroom houses, 36 semi-detached three-bed houses, eight three-bed townhouses, ten two-bed townhouses, eight two-bed apartments and four one-bed apartments at Cloghers, Tralee.
The development, not far from the Aqua Dome, will also include crèche facilities for up to 36 children.
Vehicular and pedestrian access will be through the newly completed Belmount View estate on Ballyard Road.
Among the conditions is that construction will be limited to 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 2pm on Saturdays, with no works on Sundays or bank holidays.
