For the first time, people in Kerry can get involved in a biodiversity project which is named after a traditional farming term.

The Hare's Corner project is named after an old farming expression for a section of a field that was left to nature.

Landowners, schools and community groups in the county are invited to apply for funding to create wildlife ponds, mini-woodlands, hedgerows, and other initiatives to promote biodiversity.
