Over €690,000 (€696,109) in funding has been announced for ten community projects in Kerry.
It’s part of over €12.3 million in funding announced for 206 projects nationally under the CLÁR programme 2025.
Sports clubs, schools, and community groups are set to receive grants of up €100,000, for the development of a range of community facilities in rural areas.
The Kerry projects include development of a walkway at Dingle GAA club, public toilet upgrades in Tarbert, and the creation of a new sensory garden at St Joseph’s Secondary School in Ballybunion.
The funding has been welcomed by Children’s Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley, her party colleague Michael Cahill; Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly, Minister of State Michael Healy-Rae, and Deputy Danny Healy-Rae.
