Dingle got almost 2.7% of the funding, or €606,000.

This will be spent of safety and maintenance measures (€300,000), disability access (€20,000), a floating breakwater and marina at the western marina extension (€100,000), energy measures (€100,000), vehicle and machinery (€66,000), and dredging the eastern basin and navigation channel (€20,000).

A further €20,000 has been provided for piers, lights and beacons in Kerry.

A €4.3 million fund will also be made available nationally under the 2026 Local Authority Marine Infrastructure Scheme, for shovel ready capital projects such as pier repairs, slipway upgrades, safety improvements, and enhancement of marine leisure facilities.

Through the scheme, the department will co-fund up to 75% of the eligible project costs, with the local authority providing the balance.
