€6.3 million in funding has been allocated to Munster Technological University.
It’s part of an over €65 million package under the Technological Enhancement Fund, announced by Further and Higher Education Minister, James Lawless.
The scheme aims to enhance research systems, advance digital transformation and business intelligence, and support students and staff development.
More than 18,000 students attend MTU across its campuses in Kerry and Cork, with projects under the fund to operate over a 36-month period to 31 December 2028.
The announcement has been welcomed by Children’s Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley, and Deputy Michael Cahill.
