Over €40,000 in funding has been allocated to a heritage site on Valentia Island.
It’s part of €365,000 nationwide investment, announced by Housing Minister James Brown and Minister of State Christopher O’Sullivan.
The First Message Building on Valentia Island is among the 11 projects to receive the funding dedicated to protecting Ireland’s heritage.
€42,000 will go towards stabilisation works to the historic building.
The funding has been welcomed by Fianna Fáil Deputy Michael Cahill.
