Over €3.2 million in capital funding has been allocated to Munster Technological University.
It’s part of a more than €41 million package under the national devolved capital grant, announced by Higher Education Minister James Lawless.
The scheme supports minor building works, including energy efficiency and decarbonisation upgrades; equipment refurbishment and purchase; and health and safety works.
More than 18,000 students attend MTU across its campuses in Kerry and Cork.
The funding has been welcomed by Children’s Minister Norma Foley, Minister of State Michael Healy-Rae, Fianna Fáil Deputy Michael Cahill, and Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly.
