Over €240,000 (€240,922) in compensation was paid out for farm accident claims in Kerry in the last six years.
That’s according to the Injury Resolution Board’s Farm Accident report 2019-2024.
It shows 27 claims were made in the county over the period, based on the address of the claimant.

Kerry accounts for 4% of all claims made nationwide over the six years, while 3% of the total compensation figure was distributed to the county.
Nationally, 709 farm accident claims were made to the IRB; Tipperary, Meath and Cork had the highest number of claim and compensation awards.
