Funding of over €21,000 was allocated to Kerry Mountain Rescue by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport in 2025.
Last year, just over €3 million (€3,002,911) was spent on NGOs across the country, by agencies and bodies under the remit of the department.
The highest allocation was to An Taisce's Green Schools Travel and Safe Routes to School Programme, which received an allocation of just over €2.3 million (€2,367,970).
The Recycle Mobility Programme at Variety Ireland received €150,000.
The majority of NGOs were allocated funding of between €3,000 and €30,000, including Kerry Mountain Rescue, which received €21,700 in 2025.
The figures were provided by the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Darragh O'Brien, following a query from Fianna Fáil TD Seán Fleming.
