Over €100,000 worth of grants have been announced for marine businesses and organisations in Kerry.
The grants, awarded to 12 such coastal businesses and groups across the county, come under the government’s Fisheries Local Area Action Group Scheme.
Dingle Sea Safari Limited was awarded €25,000, to assist with the purchase of a passenger vessel, while over €16,000 was awarded to the Irish Coastal Rowing Federation to help with the cost of the All-Ireland Championships this year.

Education Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley has welcomed the funding, adding it will provide much needed support for key marine and seafood industries across Kerry.
