There are over 6,300 people signing on Kerry’s Live Register.
That’s according to figures compiled by the Central Statistics Office.
In a month, the number of people signing on dropped by over 2%.
During February, 6,307 people in Kerry signed on the Live Register.
That’s a 2% decrease when compared to February last year, when 6,481 people signed on in Kerry.
It’s also a 2% decrease when compare to the previous month; in January, 6,456 people signed on in Kerry.
Five of Kerry’s social welfare offices reported annual decreases.
Cahersiveen saw a drop of 34 to 452, while Kenmare is down 10 to 371 and there are 1,157 signing on in Killarney which is a drop of 41.
In Listowel there was a drop of 15 to 1,001, and Tralee’s social welfare office saw a decrease of 86 to 2,405 for February.
In Dingle, the number of people signing on rose by 1 to 454 and there was also an increase in Killorglin of 11, bringing the number of people signing on there to 467.
