Over 4,900 (4,904) carers across Kerry are set to receive support payments this week.
The annual grant of €336 million was announced by Social Protection Minister Dara Calleary.
The payment currently stands at €2000 per recipient and will be awarded to all full-time carers.

Nationally, over 147,000 carers are set to receive the support grant.
The announcement was welcomed by Minister Norma Foley.
