Over 4,200 dog licences issued in Kerry in first four months of 2026

Over 4,200 (4,265) dog licences were issued in Kerry in the first four months of this year.

That represents an additional 904 licences issued throughout April.

Figures compiled by Kerry County Council, show eight fines relating to dogs were issued between January and the end of last month.

The council also rehomed 28 dogs during this period.

Last year, the local authority issued over 13,890 dog licences in Kerry and 78 dogs were rehomed in the county during 2025.
