Over 3,300 (3,361) dog licences were issued in Kerry in the first quarter of this year.
This represents a drop of over 6% when compared with the same period last year, when more than 3,500 (3,583) licenses were issued.
Figures compiled by Kerry County Council, show seven fines relating to dogs were issued in the first quarter of 2026.

The council also re-homed 26 dogs between January and March.
