More than 2,000 people in the Kingdom volunteered in 2025.
That’s according to figures from the Kerry Volunteer Centre which promotes the value of giving of one’s time to voluntary and charitable organisations.
The centre, which is based in Tralee, also seeks to increase the range and quality of volunteering in the county.

Geraldine O’Sullivan is manager of the Kerry Volunteer Centre.
She has kept a record of the number of hours worked by volunteers in Kerry in 2025.
