There was an over 16% rise in assault causing harm incidents recorded in Kerry last year.
That’s according to the CSO’s latest crime data report.
It shows 186 offences were recorded in the county during 2025, up from 160 the previous year.
There was a 22% jump in harassment and related crimes in twelve months, at 95 (up from 78).
Threats to kill or cause serious harm also increased by 35%, from 57 to 77.
There was a 12% drop in “other assaults” (from 541 to 477), while no attempted murder incidents were recorded last year, down from one in 2024.
