Over 150 new homes commenced in Kerry in January.
That’s more than half of the entire number of commencements in the county during 2025.
Data from the Department of Housing shows construction begun on 154 homes in the county in the first month of this year.

Throughout 2025 a total of 297 commencements were recorded in Kerry.
Apartments accounted for almost 84% of units (129) which began construction in the county in January.
