Over 11,000 people are on waiting lists for outpatient and inpatient appointments at University Hospital Kerry.
That’s according to figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund for March.
That represents a drop of 2% when compared to the previous month; in February there were almost 12,000 people waiting for treatment in UHK.
Over 11,780 (11,783) people were waiting on outpatient and inpatient appointments at University Hospital Kerry, as of the end of March.
There are also another 2,614 people on the planned procedure list there – these are patients who have had treatment but require additional treatment at UHK at a future date.
These figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund from the end of March, show there were more than 10,900 (10,948) people awaiting outpatients’ appointments at UHK.
More than 9,600 (9,676) of these are adults, while a further 1,270 (1,272) are children.
There are 835 people awaiting inpatients’ appointments at UHK, including for endoscopies, as of the end of March.
