Over 1,000 children in Kerry and Cork are currently awaiting CAMHS appointments.
The figures were provided to Labour TD Marie Sherlock.
It represents a 7% increase in the South West region.
335 children in the region are still waiting for an appointment after 12 months.
CAMHS provide specialist mental health services to people under 18 who have reached a threshold for a diagnosis of moderate to severe mental disorder.
Deputy Sherlock described the waiting list for Kerry and Cork as a major concern.
