Over 100 people in Kerry treated for addiction to opioids last year

Over 100 people in Kerry were treated for an addiction to heroin or other opioids last year.

According to Freedom of Information figures, 77 men and 37 women in Kerry were prescribed opioid-substitution treatment by doctors, under the medical card scheme.

Nationally last year, at least 8,800 people were treated for an addiction to heroin or other opioids.
