There’s been one prosecution in Kerry so far this year, with a total of 730 complaints made to Kerry County Council regarding the environment.

There’s been one prosecution in Kerry so far this year, with a total of 730 complaints made to Kerry County Council regarding the environment.

Details show that between January and May, 487 litter complaints were made, with 46 fines issued, 17 fines paid to date, but there have been no court prosecutions.

When it comes to waste, 144 complaints have been investigated so far by the council, resulting in one prosecution with a court award of €875.

There have been 34 complaints related to air and 65 about water, but none of these have resulted in court prosecutions.
