North Kerry school scoops top prize at Green Schools’ Energy Awards

A Kerry primary school has scooped a top prize at An Taisce’s Green Schools’ Energy Awards.

Students from Scoil Mhuire De Lourdes, Lixnaw won the Energy School of the Year category.

They were recognised for their work on the energy theme, in the category sponsored by EirGrid.

It saw pupils host a “Hello Energy” day, and take steps to reduce energy consumption.

Students from Scoil Mhuire De Lourdes were presented with the Green Flag for their work.
