A man has been further remanded in relation to an alleged arson incident in North Kerry.
47-year-old Corvin Rode Griffin of 7 Cloverfield Estate, John B Keane Road, Listowel appeared before Judge Treasa Kelly.
The accused faces one charge of arson, that on June 11th at 7 Cloverfield Estate, Listowel, he caused €100,000 worth of damage to a property.
The court previously heard that further charges may be brought in relation to the case.
Corvin Rode Griffin appeared at Tralee District Court recently via video-link from Cork Prison.
When asked to confirm his name, he introduced himself as Corvin Snable Griffin, and later declared he no longer wishes to be called Rode Griffin.
His solicitor Padraig O’Connell told the court that he is anxious that the case will be progressed.
He told the judge that that the only reason his client is in custody is because he can’t furnish an address.
Sergeant Stephen O’Brien outlined that DPP directions are not yet available.
Mr Rode-Griffin interjected with statements several times over the video-link including asking about money.
Judge Treasa Kelly remanded him in continuing custody to appear before Tralee District Court today (August 21st) for DPP directions.
