Details of the North Kerry CAMHS compensation scheme and lookback review will be announced tomorrow.
A review into 374 files of young people in the care of North Kerry Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service found over half were at risk of potential harm from their treatment.
That lookback review was restricted to files that were open in November 2022, but the HSE then committed to extending the review to North Kerry CAMHS cases before 2022.
In the Dáil this afternoon, Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill asked for an update on the lookback review and the compensation scheme for the young people affected.
Minister for Mental Health Mary Butler said the compensation scheme will be non-adversarial for the young people affected and their families.
