There have been no new deaths from COVID-19 according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
93 new cases of the virus in the country have been reported to the HPSC, as of midnight yesterday (Wednesday, August 26th).
None of the cases confirmed today are in Kerry - 34 are in Dublin, seven in Kildare, six each in Donegal and Laois, five in Limerick and in Wexford, and the remaining 30 cases are in Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wicklow.
This brings the national total to 28,453 confirmed cases of the virus.
The total number of deaths from the virus remains at 1,777.
The number of cases in Kerry remains at 325.
