Ireland’s obligation to support Ukraine is being eroded.
That’s according to Robert Carey of NEWKD, North East and West Kerry Development.
He's NEWKD's manager for the organisation's social inclusion and activation programme which supports Ukrainian refugees.
The Government has announcement that Ukrainian refugees living in State-provided accommodation will begin having their placements withdrawn from August.
The Government is to start returning the properties housing 16 thousand people to the tourism and private rental markets.
In Kerry, there are currently over 6,000 Ukranians, around 2,500 of whom are in state provided accommodation.
