Kerry Airport has appointed a new chief executive officer (CEO).
Adrian Neilan, originally from Ardfert, will take up the position in May.
He previously has worked in finance, operations, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and human resources.
2025 was a record year for the airport at Farranfore, with more than 440,000 passengers travelling through the airport, the highest number in its history.
John Mulhern stood down as the last CEO in August, after six years in the role.
The chairman of Kerry Airport, Denis Cregan, stated that Adrian Neilan will now lead the airport’s next phase of growth.
Mr Neilan says he is proud to take on the role in his home county and that he has a mandate to drive growth and develop new routes.
Earlier today, it was announced that Kerry Airport has been allocated over €2.76 million under the government’s Regional Airports Programme.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Kerry Airport, Basil Sheerin, stated that the airport is grateful for the support.
In a statement today, a spokesperson for the airport said this year’s funding allocation will be used to replace fire engines, and invest in new safety and security upgrades.
