N72 fully reopened following completion of works ahead of schedule

The N72 Killarney to Mallow road is now fully reopened to traffic following the completion of works.

A section between Barraduff and Rathmore at Stagmount Bends has been closed since May 17th, to facilitate the construction of a culvert by Kerry County Council.

The works were due to take two weeks, but have been completed ahead of schedule.

Kerry County Council is advising people to travel with care, as there is a temporary 60km/h speed limit in place to allow motorists to familiarise themselves with the new road alignment.
