The N71 road from Moll's Gap to Kenmare has reopened following a serious road crash earlier today.
A motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was the sole person involved in the single-vehicle collision at approximately 11:30 this morning, near the Avoca Shop.
He brought by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry with serious injuries.

Garda forensic collision investigators have carried out an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
