Anyone driving to Killarney for the Munster Football Final on Sunday is being advised to arrive early as Kerry gardaí prepare for the biggest roads policing operation of the year.

The Assess Ireland Rally of the Lakes takes place tomorrow and Sunday, with rolling road closures across the three stages.

Inspector Garda Gary Carroll says there will be a pinch point between 12-2pm on Sunday, and people should give themselves plenty of time to arrive in Killarney or they will be stuck in a backlog.

He’s asking people to familiarise themselves with road closures on the Rally’s website, and which car parks are available for match traffic.

Inspector Carroll says there will be no parking allowed at all on the bypass in Killarney.
