MTU Kerry is hosting an event today to support paediatric inpatient care at University Hospital Kerry.
The annual Teddy Bear Hospital charity event invites children to bring their favourite teddy bears for a playful “check-up”.
The event is organised by staff and students from the International Medical Commencement Programme (IMCP) at MTU’s North Campus in Tralee.
The programme is delivered in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) and OnCampus Ireland, as an academic pathway for students pursuing careers in the medical field.
This year the event also features a minor repair facility for teddies needing stitches, eye replacement or ear reconstruction.
Registration costs €5.00 per entrant, with all proceeds supporting paediatric inpatient care at Cashel Ward, University Hospital Kerry.
