Diversity is fundamentally important to the Munster Technological University, according to the MTU President Maggie Cusack.
She was speaking at the graduation day for over 1,100 students at the university’s Kerry campus today.
Today’s graduands are from 53 countries, having studied in various departments spanning business, tourism and hospitality, to nursing, social sciences, and engineering.
MTU President Maggie Cusack says diversity, equality, and inclusion have been positive for MTU, and are very important for the university.
She says having graduates from 53 countries shows the MTU has a global attraction.
Today’s ceremonies will also celebrate the bestowal of honorary doctorates to David Donoghue, a former senior Irish diplomat, and Stan McCarthy, non-executive chairman of Ryanair.
MTU President Maggie Cusack also paid tribute to both of them.
